The Friends of the Library is an active non-profit group that supports the library in many ways by: 

• Hosting fundraising events (book sales, seed sales)
• Delivering family programming in the library 
• Hosting the monthly Speaker Series in the library
• Participating in Douro Doings
• Participating in Culture Days
