The Douro-Dummer Events Committee plans and organizes the Canada Day Parade, Remembrance Day Ceremony and the Santa Claus Parade for the residents of Douro-Dummer. The Committee meets occasionally throughout the year, with regular meetings occurring closer to the date of the event. View the Committee Calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Canada Day Parade |

The Canada Parade takes place every year on July 1st in the Village of Douro. Are you looking to enter a float into the parade? Contact staff and we would love to add you to our list! Float participants will be sent the parade meeting place, and route in advance. |
Remembrance Day Ceremony |

Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony |

The Events Committee plans and organizes an annual Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony for the residents of Douro-Dummer. The parade takes place every year on last Saturday of November in the Hamlet of Warsaw. The parade starts at 5:00 p.m. at the Warsaw Public Works garage, travelling through the hamlet of Warsaw. Following the parade, a tree lighting ceremony takes place at Millenium Park beside the Municipal Office, visits with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate and carols! Are you looking to enter a float into the parade? Contact staff and we would love to add you to our list! Float participants will be sent the parade meeting place, and route in advance. DonationsThe Events Committee is happy to accept any donations towards our Santa Claus Parade. Cheques and cash can be brought to the Township Office where staff members can provide you with a receipt.
