State of Emergency Declared in Douro-Dummer - March 2025

UPDATED April 1, 2025 at 11:30am.

The Township of Douro-Dummer has declared a State of Emergency following the severe ice storm that went through the Township this past weekend.

The Municipal Office phone system is not working and we anticipate it will be a couple days before the system is fixed. Please e-mail us or visit in person if you have any questions or concerns.

Hydro One estimates power may be back on by the end of the week, but re-assessment are ongoing. Visit the outage map for updates, to report outages and damaged poles/lines, and to sign up for alerts

Stay clear of any fallen power lines! If you spot a fallen line, keep at least 10m back, even if it does not appear to be live. Report it to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235, or text 92887 (WATTS).
