The Draft Official Plan will guide how and where the County of Peterborough will grow to 2051. The Plan will apply new land use policy and schedules and will identify where various land uses can locate, plan for infrastructure needs, identify and protect the County’s natural heritage system and water resources, and establish a vision for growing as complete, sustainable, and resilient communities across the County. The County Official Plan must conform to and be consistent with all applicable Provincial plans and policies.

The Draft Official Plan serves as the Official Plan for the County of Peterborough and functions as the local Official Plan for Townships in the County, including Douro-Dummer.
