The Township of Douro-Dummer is delighted to announce the upcoming grand opening of the revamped South Park on Friday, November 10th at 1:30 PM. This project is funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). The Park has undergone a remarkable transformation, and the upcoming grand opening promises to be a momentous occasion for the residents.

One of the standout features of the Park’s rehabilitation is the addition of a state-of-the art pickleball/tennis court. This versatile court will cater to sports enthusiasts of all ages, providing an excellent venue for both tennis and pickleball matches. On the day of the grand opening, community members will be available to offer pickleball demonstrations, and all attendees are encouraged to join in and try out the sport. Extra pickleball paddles will be available for those interested.

In addition to the sports court, the Park now has a brand-new canteen building, designed to enhance the visitor experience. South Park transformation is a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared vision. It is set to become a central hub for leisure, sports and social gatherings, enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
