Thank You for Making the 2024 Santa Claus Parade a Success!

On behalf of the Township of Douro-Dummer, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this year's Santa Claus Parade. Your support and enthusiasm helped create a magical event that brought joy and holiday spirit to our community.

We are truly grateful for the dedication and hard work of all the participants, including the volunteers, local organizations, and parade entrants. Your contributions, whether large or small, played a vital role in making the parade a memorable celebration for all who attended.

A special thank you to the parade participants for sharing your creative floats, cheerful performances, and festive spirit. You truly brought the holiday season to life!

We are especially excited to share that this year’s parade featured the most floats we’ve ever had! It was incredible to see such a wonderful display of creativity and community spirit. Each float added something special, and we are grateful to all those who worked hard to bring their ideas to life.

We would also like to express our appreciation to the community for coming together to support this beloved tradition. The success of the parade wouldn't be possible without your participation, and we are so thankful for your continued involvement.

A heartfelt thank you to Sharon Foster for her extraordinary generosity. Since 1992, Sharon has baked cookies every year,  for everyone to enjoy during the parade. Her selfless commitment to spreading holiday cheer through her baking is a true testament to the spirit of giving that makes our community so special. We are deeply grateful for her continued contribution to this event year after year.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Doyle's Tree Service for their generous and invaluable assistance with the tree lighting ceremony. Their team graciously volunteered their time and expertise to hang the beautiful lights on our community tree, helping to set the stage for a memorable start to the holiday season. We appreciate their continued support and commitment to making both the parade and the tree lighting ceremony such a success.

As we celebrate the season, we also want to remind everyone of the importance of community. This event wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of you — whether you were in the parade, volunteered your time, or simply came out to enjoy the festivities. The holiday season is a reminder of the power of connection, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with you.
